Different Types of Vacuum Cleaners

The market is full of choice for vacuum cleaners each with different features. Most people buy the first vacuum which looks halfway decent. This is because they do not like vacuum cleaner shopping and they want to spend their money on things which look exciting. There are different types of vacuums in the market, and each of them has their advantages and disadvantages. Below are some of the basic vacuum models in the market.

Bagless Vacuums

The benefit of this type of cleaner is that you can see what has been picked up and are less likely to forget to empty the collection cup. If not, some appliances require that you replace or clean the filters occasionally. Emptying the dirt cup could be a messy process based on your vacuum cleaner. Dust normally billows out of the cup, or you can have to pull out or shake compressed dirt collected at the base of the containers.

Upright Vacuums

Most companies which sell upright vacuum cleaners offer the same accessories and claim the same benefits. These vacuums usually have a bag, motor, a hose as well as a beater in a single unit. Vacuum cleaners with wheels offer ease of movement throughout the house. The average cost of this vacuum cleaner is a couple of hundred dollars. An upright vacuum cleaner can be clean carpeted and wood floors well more so if the appliance has various height settings. Upright vacuum cleaners are usually equipped with extensions to the hose and wand, but most cannot deal with closets easily.

Canister Vacuums

These vacuum cleaners have a long hose and canister containing a bag and motor. They make an excellent choice for vertical surfaces, steps, hardwood floors and curtain. Consider a canister vacuum if you have a hardwood floor. Such a vacuum cleaner can deposit debris and dust into a container instead of a vacuum bag. They also include HEPA filters which better remove dander, dust, and pollen from the passing air through the vacuum cleaner making it an excellent choice for homes with allergy sufferers.

Central Installed Vacuums

You can look into adding a centralized vacuum such as Kenmore instead of hauling the cleaning bag and motor around behind you. These vacuum systems have pipes in the walls get connected to a strong motor in some area like the garage or the closet. Whenever you want to clean a room, attach a vacuum tube to one of the inlets set apart all over the house and permit the ducts to collect the trash and filth in the motor and sack. The process is quiet as the motor is not near but in a remote area. They are easier to use, and there is no vacuum body which you need to pull along. However, they are costlier than upright and canister vacuums.

These are some of the different types of vacuum cleaners. You can choose any of them depending on your requirements and budget.
